Tickets were sold out for the performance at St Leonards School Music Auditorium concert. Laura would like to thank everyone who attended and thank you for all the positive feedback. The performance was captured on video and will be made freely available online so please keep checking back. That was a sensational performance by Laura, please congratulate her from me. I did not know what to expect but to play and remember such complex pieces without any music to read is beyond my understanding! She created a delightful atmosphere and we all came away feeling uplifted and happy – thank you Laura Best wishes!
A teenage pianist and composer from Arncroach is set to make her first professional appearance in Scotland less than a month after performing at the Royal Albert Hall. The concert marked another high point for Laura Newey (17), who was last year selected as the recipient of the prestigious Mackenzie Johnston Award, celebrating the best young musicians in Scotland. On April 11 Laura will return to the Kingdom to perform at St Andrews. Read More:

Our recitalist is 17-year old Laura Newey, a Fife lass who made her debut at the Royal Albert Hall in London earlier this month with the same programme. It includes Beethoven's 'Pathétique' sonata, some of Chopin's Preludes and Schubert's Impromptu in E-flat Major as well as lesser known works by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Schumann/Liszt.
